🌳 A weekend full of fair play, team spirit and climate protection: the Waldkicker Final 2025
On May 18, 2025, the grand finale of the first Waldkicker season took place at the Dietmar Hopp Stadium in Hoffenheim. Over 120 children from all over Germany came together to compete in a special kind of soccer tournament with their teams. Eight teams had qualified for the tournament, all of which had shown outstanding commitment to sustainability over the course of the season. The focus was not only on sporting ambition, but above all on shared values such as responsibility, cohesion and environmental awareness.
Mom’s Garden has supported the Waldkicker initiative as the main sponsor and strategic partner since summer 2024. The aim of the collaboration is to combine educational and exercise opportunities for children with concrete environmental commitment. The Waldkicker initiative is an example of how sporting activities can be used as a platform to raise young people’s awareness of sustainability and promote collective action.
During the season, the participating clubs collected points through various activities – including waste collection campaigns, planting projects and social initiatives in the local area. This combination of sporting togetherness and practical environmental education is in line with Mom’s Garden’s self-image as a value-oriented company with a focus on healthy development and social responsibility.
The final was the highlight of a successful first season. In addition to exciting games, the joint commitment of the children and clubs was particularly appreciated. Mom’s Garden would like to thank everyone involved – children, clubs, coaches and the Waldkicker organization team – for their commitment and their role model function in the area of sustainability and youth development.
